I’ve spent years talking to Lions Clubs about Helen Keller and how instrumental she was in Lions Clubs history. This led me to learn more about Helen Keller, who she was, and what she did in her lifetime which many of us can only dream about doing. The leadership she showed throughout the world, despite her disabilities, continues to inspire me about such great women in history, and why I want to share Helen Keller and all these wonderful women of history with you.
I am also a 5th-degree (5th Dan) black belt in Tae Kwon Do. I love to teach girls about defending themselves against bullies. But it doesn’t stop there. Many women today are too busy with home, work, kids, and the hustle and bustle of daily life to pay attention to themselves as they are always taking care of someone else. Ladies, it’s time to take care of yourself! I will teach you how to be more aware of your surroundings and the steps you can take to defend yourself against an unknown assailant.
Not interested in Helen Keller? No interest in learning about your surroundings and how to defend yourself? Then who’s your favorite woman in history? Who inspires you the most? Tell me who they are. Let me come and talk to your organization today about your favorite woman of history!! I will even “dress the part” and come in costume depending on the person I’m speaking about and the organization I’m talking to. Feel free to request this for your presentation.
