Throughout history women have demonstrated great leadership! These are women we need to emulate and remind our children and grandchildren about to inspire the same great feats for all women now and in the future.
Women throughout history have forged the path for us to be stronger, more vibrant, in control and in the boardroom!
As women, it is so important not to let anything stop us from becoming all we can be and encourage all women to do the same through the leadership lessons these women leaders in history have taught us.
The hardships in life we face today are no different than the hardships they faced. The lessons they learned from these hardships and what they did in their lifetimes have made them women worthy of our respect.

2025 Already?!
It’s hard to believe it’s 2025 already and it’s been MANY years since I’ve written a blog. It’s been so long I mistakenly lost the blog from 2018 where I talked about about how long that had been since 2017 and now here we are again this many years later! Since that time I’ve done many, many things…..
- Been all through the District chairs in Lions…2nd Vice District Governor, 1st Vice District Governor and Governor.
- My Governor year Covid hit and THAT was a trying time, but I was inducted and got a trip to Milan, Italy before it hit and that was fun
- Got Divorced (and went back to my maiden name)
- Am now a Past District Governor and have been holding many State and District positions and keeping VERY busy still with Lions
- Bought a house
- Retired, but not by choice
- Became a 5th Dan (degree) Black Belt in Taekwondo
- Met a new man which I never thought would happen
As you can see, MANY things happened in all those years with a lot of “stuff” in between. Retirement from my “regular” insurance position gives me more time to talk about women in leadership. I’ve also been working on a book on personal safety and awareness. Hoping I can finish it this year. Say a few prayers for me.
I’ve heard many folks say they didn’t know how they got things done before retirement and now I know what they mean! Although I have found time to slow down which is so important to me these days.
