So, I'm a bit late on my blog for November. I was sick over the Thanksgiving holiday and still recovering my voice. I guess that made me forget my blog.
So let's talk about woman of today. There are plenty of women from history we can look up to but what about women in today's world? I have plenty of inspirations...rather they be famous or personal friends. What about you? Who do you look up to?
There are many women's organizations to join and get inspired and get help to advance your own career. To name just a few....
www.weldoh.org
www.leanin.org
www.ywca.org
www.awesomewomeninbusiness.com
www.rulingourexperiences.com (this one's for all you girls out there!)
There are so many out there I would never be able to list them all. The last is important for teaching the next generation of women.
Look around your own life today....what strong, independent women have you met and/or know personally who have inspired you? Here's a few of my own...
Terri Spaulding - Get Off Go Coaching - check her out at www.getoffgo.com
Carly Ronayne - My Dirt Road Diary - this is my Niece whose begun to make a name for herself in Nashville. Quite an inspiration to you young folks out there today - check her out at www.carlylynn.com
There are many others who don't have a website or their own business yet are fulfilling careers and showing the world how great woman are and the awesome leadership styles they exude. Just look around you and you'll find them. My personal inspirations:
Alita Burke
Kelly Reisling
Tonia Jackson
Jennifer Krause
And let's not forget a few great women CEO's:
Jane Grote Abell - CEO of Danotos Pizza
Gail Kelley - CEO of Two Men and a Truck - Two Men and a Truck's founder was also a woman - Mary Ellen Sheets!!
Who is your inspiration?
